Teen Camp 2012

I am excited about Teen Camp coming in a few short weeks. Are you guys getting excited yet? I remember as a teenager getting excited as I got signed up for Camp and then I sorta forgot about it until the night before we were going to leave. I would go into panic mode! All of the sudden I had a mountain of clothes to wash and I couldn't find my favorite shirt etc... Thankfully I have a wonderful mother who would calm me down and get everything in order just in time to go to bed and get a few hours of sleep.

There was one thing my Mother (as awesome as she was) could not prepare for me though. What do you think that was? My spiritual attitude or temperature! Listen guys I can distinctly remember a difference in the Camps where I went ready to listen and receive from God's Word. It was amazing how much the Lord was able to speak to me just because I was open and prepared.

My challenge for you as we approach Teen Camp this summer is to preparing yourselves right now. Don't wait until the "Night Before"! Ask God to begin working in your heart today. By the time you step onto the Camp Grounds at Southland you will be prepared for the Lord to speak to you.
